H.S. Code Specialist

Your job responsibilities will be to accurately classify products using the Harmonized System (H.S.) Codes in accordance with national and international customs regulations.

Analyze the nature and composition of goods to determine the appropriate H.S. Code.
Assign accurate Harmonized System Codes based on classification guidelines.
Stay updated on changes in tariff schedules and customs regulations.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper classification.
Prepare and review documentation for customs purposes.
Communicate with customs authorities to resolve classification disputes.
Provide classification guidance to internal departments.
Maintain classification databases.
Ensure compliance with trade agreements like FTAs.
Train team members on customs classification procedures.
